The OVO Hydro is conveniently situated for motorists, just off the M8 motorway and with plenty of parking.
Leave the M8 at junction 19 and join the westbound Clydeside Expressway (A814). Westbound on the Expressway (A814) take the cut off signposted SEC East. Turn left at traffic lights and take the right lane to access multi-storey parking
Glasgow is also well connected by bus and train services from across the UK. Visitors can also opt to travel by foot, bike, and taxi services.

The multi-storey is operated by City Parking LLP. Onsite pay machines are on the ground floor, or level 2 (walkway level) of the car park. Payment can be made by cash or credit/debit card on arrival or before departure. Tariff Rates in the multi-storey Monday to Sunday are:
The car parking facility is located at 10 Stobcross Road, a short 300 m (4 min) walk from the venue.
The OVO Hydro drop-off/pick-up zone is located at the west of SEC Centre. The drop-off/pick-up zone is accessible via Stobcross Road.
The Riversider 100 service operates from George Square in Glasgow city centre directly to the SEC.
The X19 Stagecoach service operates near to the Scottish Event Campus, stopping on Finnieston Street only a few minutes’ walk from the venues.
Once in the city centre, the OVO Hydro is a three minute train ride from Glasgow Central. If you arrive at Queen Street, you’ll need to walk or get a bus to Central to continue your journey by train.
The OVO Hydro has its own dedicated railway station – Exhibition Centre – allowing easy access from the city centre and suburbs. There are six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Glasgow Central station, departing from Platform 17 (low level).
The Exhibition Centre station is approximately 600 m (7 min) walk from the venue.
Glasgow offers a diverse range of accommodation options and neighbourhoods, with everything from trendy boutique inns, budget hostels, and luxury hotels sprinkled throughout the city's neighbourhoods.
The venue offers a wide range of food and drink options to visitors at their fine restaurants. The Hydro Club Restaurant offers a seasonal food menu and selected wine list offers a three course dining experience and an unrivalled start to your evening, whilst the Clubhouse menu offers a relaxed atmosphere and exclusive take on classic street food, along with a great selection of beers and cocktails.
The OVO Hydro is also home to an appetising selection of food and drink outlets. On the ground floor there is a number of bars serving a selection of beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks as well as hot dogs, savoury and sweet snacks. There are also four food offers exclusive to The OVO Hydro serving chip shop suppers, pizzas and nachos, burgers and chips, and show specific concepts.

Early queuing on Campus is discouraged - it won’t guarantee a place at the front of the stage!
We recommend visitors allow plenty of time to get through our security checks and into the venue, arriving for the doors open time as a general guide – don’t miss out on the action!
Exit
At most events you may leave and re-enter the venue during the event, as long as you present your ticket for scanning each time.
Toilets are conveniently located throughout the venue.
There are baby changing facilities in all the accessible toilets, please ask a member of staff for the nearest one.
Breastfeeding is welcome at the venue.
Glasgow is a great cycling city. With a Nextbike station located outside the venue and multiple cycling paths, the campus is easily accessible for cyclists.
The city is linked to the National Cycle Network and has designated cycle lanes on many roads.
The OVO Hydro is accessible via many cycle lanes and paths including one route that runs alongside the River Clyde.
A covered cycle rack is located in the main piazza between the SEC and the SEC Armadillo.
Bike Hire
The city has a popular bike hire scheme similar to London. Nextbike Glasgow has 170 bikes for hire in 31 locations, available 24/7. You can rent a bike via nextbike’s Android / iPhone App by the on-bike computer, or by phoning +44 (0) 20 816 69851. Rental starts at £1 for the first 30 minutes.
Glasgow is a very walkable and easy to navigate city.
The Clyde Walkway runs right past the SEC, providing an invigorating start to day time exhibitions and conferences, or a scenic stroll to evening events.
There are two foot bridges, which cross the Clydeside Express Way (dual carriageway connecting the west end to Glasgow city centre) at both the front and rear of the campus.
Two pedestrian bridges traverse the River Clyde near the SEC. Bells Bridge connects the campus to the Science Centre and BBC while, a little further east, the Clyde Arc (affectionately known as the ‘Squinty Bridge’) carries both vehicles and pedestrians.
Accessible seating is available within the Arena Bowl and Hospitality Suites. Alternating blocks have easily accessed viewing platforms where wheelchair users, companions and those with mobility issues can enjoy excellent views of the stage.
These seats are situated in open areas and on the same level as the concourse, so there are no steps to navigate. All accessible seating is positioned near exits and toilets.
Other accessible seating is available in other areas one level up which can be accessed via a lift. Please note that levels 2 and 3 are high up, and may not be suitable for visitors with mobility issues or difficulties with heights. Level 3 is accessible by stairs only.
OVO Hydro has a capacity of approximately 14,300. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
