The William Hill Showcase is the first event of the National Hunt racing season to be held at Cheltenham Racecourse. With its position early in the jump racing calendar, many runners and riders use the 2-day meeting as a springboard for future racedays.
Across the Friday and Saturday, there are 14 races giving top trainers the opportunity to run their strongest and up-and-coming horses. In the past decade, there have been over a dozen horses who ran at the Showcase Meeting before going on to triumph in a race at March's Cheltenham Festival; the figures suggest it is a fantastic chance to see some future champions.
