Tedeschi Trucks Band, often shortened to TTB, is a 12-piece American ensemble from Jacksonville, Florida, United States. Led by guitarist Derek Trucks and singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi, the group blends southern rock, blues, blues rock, soul, Americana and jam-band improvisation.
Formed in 2010 when Trucks and Tedeschi merged their separate touring groups, the band quickly built a reputation as a formidable live act. Their debut studio album "Revelator" (2011) won the Grammy Award for Best Blues Album, establishing them in contemporary roots music. Subsequent releases including "Everybody's Talkin'", "Made Up Mind", "Let Me Get By", "Signs" and the concert film and album "Live from the Fox Oakland" have highlighted their balance of crafted songs and expansive ensemble arrangements.
In 2022 they released the four-part project "I Am The Moon", followed by the live tribute "Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN')", confirming a taste for large-scale concepts. Alongside multiple Blues Music Awards and Americana nominations, Tedeschi Trucks Band are widely respected for emotionally charged performances in which ensemble interplay and Trucks' slide guitar frame Tedeschi's powerful, soulful vocals.
