🏟️ Address: Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario, J5400 San Juan, San Juan, San Juan Province, Argentina Directions in Google Maps
The stadium is situated on route 40 (Au San Juan - Mendoza), and so is easily accessible by car. There is on-site parking at the stadium, with the main car park located to the north of the venue.
It is just a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride from San Juan city centre to the stadium, and there is plenty of space around the venue for dropping-off and picking-up. When using a local taxi service, it is recommended that you book in advance, so that you can pay a pre-agreed price.
Terminal de Ómnibus de San Juan, the central bus station in San Juan city centre, is located a 15 minute drive away from the stadium, along route 40. It is recommended that travellers who use the bus station to reach the city then take a taxi to the stadium. See the Taxi section for more information.
The stadium cannot be easily reached by train. It is recommended that long-distance travellers take a bus to San Juan, or travel by car.
As a small city in the heart of rural Argentina without a large tourist footfall, San Juan is a very reasonably priced destination to stay. It also accommodates for a wide range of tastes and budgets with everything from hostels to upscale hotels.
To reach San Juan, fly to Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Airport (UAQ) via Buenos Aires.
Walk within the Valley of the Moon – take a day trip from San Juan to Ischigualasto Provincial Park where you can see Argentina’s most otherworldly landscape, the Valley of the Moon, known for its peculiarly-shaped rock formations rising like columns from the ground
It can take as little as 35 minutes to cycle to the stadium from San Juan city centre, via the area of Villa Krause and route 40, and there are cycle racks at the north-west corner of the stadium. However, visitors are encouraged to plan their routes carefully before embarking: the stadium is accessed via major road, so less confident cyclists may wish to find alternative routes.
If you are staying in a nearby town or village, such as Sanchez de Loria, a 1.5 km (18 min) walk from the south of the stadium, it may be possible to travel on foot. However, if you are staying further away, for example in San Juan proper, walking is a less appealing prospect: it is a nearly 2 hour walk to the stadium from San Juan city centre.
