Royel Otis are an Australian indie pop/rock duo from Sydney, comprising Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic. Formed in the late 2010s, they developed a shimmering, guitar-led sound mixing dream‑pop textures with sharp hooks.
They introduced themselves with the EP "Campus" (2021), followed by "Bar & Grill" (2022) and "Sofa Kings" (2023), which expanded their audience through national radio support and extensive touring in Australia, the UK and parts of Europe. Their inventive cover of "Murder on the Dancefloor" for triple j’s Like A Version further broadened their reach online and on air.
Notable songs include "Oysters in My Pocket" and "Fried Rice", alongside fan favourites from their EPs. The duo continue to release new music and perform internationally.
