Remo Evenepoel is a professional road cyclist born in January 2000 is Aalst, Belgium. Due to the Flanders region's interest in endurance cycling and the fact his father Patrick was also a professional cyclist, it is no wonder than Remco went into the same career. However, in his youth, he was a footballer and played for youth academies at both Anderlecht and PSV Eindhoven. In 2017, he decided to switch his focus to cycling and has found a great deal of success including junior achievements which later developed into wins at huge competitions like the UEC European Championships, the UCI World Championships, the Liège–Bastogne–Liège, and even as the overall winner of the 2022 Vuelta a España. In 2023, he won the Liège–Bastogne–Liège again as well as the UAE Tour and gold in the individual time trial at the UCI Road World Championships.
