The Pegasus World Cup is an American race meeting for thoroughbred horses and is held annually at Gulfstream Park near Miami, Florida in the United States.
The raceday is named after the feature race, the Pegasus World Cup Invitational Stakes which is run over the dirt at a distance of 9 furlongs and is one of the richest horse races in the world. First ran in 2017, after Frank Stronach - part owner of the track - proposed the idea in 2016 as a competition during the slight annual lull in racing and just before the stud season in February. The race is named after the Greek mythical horse, Pegasus whose 110-foot statue stands at Gulfstream Park.
The 2026 race will mark the 10th anniversary!
