The Pakistan national women’s cricket team made its One Day International debut in 1997, and later that year, took part in the World Cup in India. Although Pakistan wasn’t particularly successful in its first decade, in recent years, the team has established itself among the top 8 nations in women’s cricket. Some of the more significant honours for Pakistan Women include achieving runners-up position in the Women’s World Cup Qualifier on 2 occasions (2008 and 2011), as well as winning the Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in 2013.
