Minnesota United are a football club playing in Major League Soccer's Western Conference.
History
Minnesota United replaced the North American Soccer League of the same name in 2017 when they joined MLS as the league's 22nd team.
A difficult start to life for the Loons saw them ship 18 goals in their first 4 matches, which including 5-1, 6-1, and 5-2 defeats. Things have turned around for them in the years since, however, starting with their first MLS Cup Playoff qualification in 2019; that same season Minnesota's Ike Opara and Vito Mannone were named as MLS Defender and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively.
