Michael Marcagi is an American singer-songwriter from Cincinnati, Ohio, typically releasing music in the pop and indie genres.
Before embarking on a solo career, Marcagi was a member of the band the Heavy Hours. Venturing into his solo music, Marcagi released his debut single "The Other Side" in December 2023, marking a new chapter in his musical journey. In January 2024, Marcagi signed with Warner Records and released his second single, "Scared to Start." The song quickly gained popularity on TikTok, propelling the track onto the Billboard Hot 100, marking his first entry on the chart. Both singles were prominently featured on his debut EP, "American Romance," which was released in February 2024.
