On gamedays, North Stadium Drive, South Stadium Drive and West Stadium Drive (next to Tiger Stadium) will be closed to all vehicular traffic.
There are 5 reserved parking zones around the stadium, each including many different parking lots, all of which require visitors to purchase a permit in advance. Some of these have accommodations for particular vehicles:
There are also free parking areas, which fill up quickly on gamedays. For any of these free parking lots, try to arrive before noon for evening kickoffs, especially for conference games:
Free ADA parking for visitors with wheelchairs or other access needs is available at Lot 409 off Gourrier Ave.
Many private residential houses around Baton Rouge also sell parking spaces on gamedays. Visitors may also choose to park at Pastime Restaurant at 252 South Boulevard, where you can pay $12 for a shuttle service direct to Tiger Stadium after enjoying some delicious local food.
Ride-shares and taxis are available in Baton Rouge, but watch out for surge pricing during gamedays and remember that the roads closest to the stadium will be inaccessible except to parking permit holders. Visitors who cannot walk comfortably may prefer to take the Touchdown Express shuttle, which can drop passengers off much closer to the stadium.
The Touchdown Express is a shuttle service that costs $10 per game or $60 for a 7 game pass. It runs between Tiger Stadium and 5 downtown locations:
Tickets can be purchased online or from any of the above locations.
The Baton Rouge Greyhound Bus Station is located on Florida Boulevard, approximately 5km from Tiger Stadium, or an 8-10 minute drive by taxi or ride-share.
The LSU campus is located south of downtown Baton Rouge, and it is not a particularly walkable city. From the Louisiana State Capitol, it would be an approximately 5.5 km (66 min) walk to Tiger Stadium.
Although Baton Rouge is the capital of Louisiana, it is much less touristy than the likes of Lafayette and New Orleans, making it much more affordable too. While Downtown is home to some swanky and stylish hotels with high price tags, there’s plenty of mid-range and budget options in and around the centre too.
To reach Baton Rouge, you must take a connecting flight from Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas-Fortworth, or Houston to Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR).…
Wander through Spanish Town – slowly stroll through Spanish Town, Baton Rouge’s most historic neighbourhood built in the early 1800s, and enjoy feeling as if you are in a completely different continent as you admire its traditional Spanish architecture
