The Bulldogs are the football team of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the West Division of Conference USA.
Louisiana Tech claims 3 Division II national championships and 25 conference championships. These conference titles were won in a number of different conferences, including the Louisiana Intercollegiate Conference, the Gulf States Conference, the Southland Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference.
Since joining Conference USA in 2013, the Bulldogs have won the West Division twice.
Many former Bulldogs have gone on to great success in the NFL, including Fred Dean, Willie Roaf, and Louisiana Tech legend Terry Bradshaw, who broke all passing records in Ruston before playing QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Bulldogs play their home games at Joe Aillet Stadium, which has a capacity of 28,562.
