Lizzy McAlpine grew up in Narberth, a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in the United States. Her musical style primarily encompasses folk-pop, indie pop, and alternative genres, blending intimate acoustic instrumentation with emotive lyricism.
McAlpine first gained recognition by sharing original songs and covers on online platforms like SoundCloud and YouTube. She released her acclaimed debut studio album, "Give Me a Minute", in 2020. This was followed by her second full-length record, "Five Seconds Flat", which featured the widely popular, TikTok-viral single "Ceilings" and brought her mainstream chart success.
Continuing to evolve as an artist, she released her third studio album, "Older", accompanied by a deluxe version titled "Older (and Wiser)", alongside subsequent projects such as the album "Angel". Beyond her solo recording career, McAlpine has expanded her artistic footprint into theatre, making her stage debut in a prominent Broadway production.
