Adesanya wasn’t interested in sports growing up, but later pursued MMA after being bullied as a child. He made his professional MMA debut in 2012, but did not fight regularly in that format until 2015. “The Last Stylebender” made his first UFC appearance in 2018, having won the Australian Fighting Championship middleweight title the year prior. In 2019, he won the UFC middleweight title.
