Narendra Modi Stadium is a cricket venue in Ahmedabad, India. The stadium is home to the IPL's Gujarat Titans and the India Cricket Team.
📜 History
Formerly known as Motera Stadium, the Narendra Modi Stadium boasts a capacity of 132,000, making it the largest cricket stadium in the world. Following a reconstruction and renovation process in 2020, the modernized venue took on its current name in honor of India's 14th Prime Minister, and former President of the Gujarat Cricket Association, Narendra Modi.
As well as being home to the IPL's Gujarat Titans, Modi Stadium regularly hosts high-profile cricket matches, including the IPL Final and games involving the Indian national team. In 2022, the stadium was selected as a host venue for the 2023 Cricket World Cup, and more specifically, was named as the venue for the Final.
