Granada Club de Fútbol, S.A.D. - more commonly referred to simply as Granada - is a Spanish professional football club based in Granada, Andalusia and currently playing in the country's top tier La Liga. The club plays home games at Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes.
Founded in April 1931, the club was originally known as Club Recreativo Granada. In the early 1940s, the club made its debut in La Liga and for several decades afterward, played either in the top division or the Segunda División and performed strongly in the late 1960s into the mid-1970s. Unfortunately, the club fell on hard times after this period and played as far down the league as the fourth tier in the early 2000s. Granada's fortunes have improved in recent years and the club was promoted back to La Liga at the end of the 2022/23 season after winning the Segunda División.
The home venue of Granada CF is Nuevo Estadio de Los Cármenes in Granada. Away games will usually be played at the rival team's home venue.
