Godsmack are an American rock band from Lawrence, Massachusetts, United States, originally formed in 1995 under the name "The Scam". Their music blends hard rock, alternative metal, post-grunge and nu metal influences, driven by Sully Erna’s gritty vocals and percussion-heavy arrangements.
