Get excited for the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl!
Part of the college football postseason, the Gator Bowl is one of the oldest bowl games in the sport. It was held for the first time in 1946, and in 1955 became the first bowl game to be televised nationally across the United States. The game has always been hosted in Jacksonville – originally in Gator Bowl Stadium, and at EverBank Stadium since 1996.
The game currently has tie-ins with the SEC and the ACC, so a team from each of these conferences will take to the field.
