The Eagles are the football team of Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington. They compete in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) of the NCAA and play in the Big Sky Conference.
The Eagles claim one national title in the FCS, won in 2010 when the team defeated Delaware 20-19. Since 1901, Eastern Washington has secured 26 conference championships, including 10 earned as members of the Big Sky Conference. The earlier titles were won in the Tri-Normal League, the Washington Intercollegiate Conference, and the Evergreen Conference.
Eastern Washington is known for its home stadium, Roos Field, which has the only red playing surface in college football. The stadium has a capacity of 8,600.
