The Buffaloes are the football team of the University of Colorado Boulder. They compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision of the NCAA and play in the South Division of the Pac-12 Conference.

In 1994, Colorado running back Rashaan Salaam won the Heisman Trophy, before going on to play in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and Cleveland Browns.
