The Collingwood Magpies are a netball team based in Melbourne, Australia. They play in Suncorp Super Netball.
The Magpies were formed in 2016 after the ANZ Championship was disbanded and a new national netball league was created. This new league, which would become Suncorp Super Netball, was designed to include the 5 Australian teams who had competed in the ANZ Championship, plus 3 new teams.
The Collingwood netball team is owned by Collingwood Football Club, whose Australian rules football team is also known as the Magpies. The netball team was originally launched with its own distinct logo, but after a few years it was decided to use the same logo across both sports.
The Magpies' head coach is Nicole Richardson, a former Olympic softball player. The team plays most of their home games at the Melbourne Arena in Melbourne Park, but every season they play 1 or 2 home games in Launceston, after making an agreement with the Government of Tasmania.
After experiencing financial difficulties, 2023 was the final season for Collingwood Magpies.
