Bilmuri is the rock and alternative project of American musician Johnny Franck, who also performs under his own name. Based in Columbus, Ohio, United States, he blends post-hardcore, emo, pop-punk, alternative rock and touches of country into a melodic yet heavy sound.
After leaving metalcore band Attack Attack! in 2010, Franck launched Bilmuri in 2016, quickly building a cult following through a prolific run of self-released records and an irreverent online presence. Early albums like "Jaguar Shark", "Letters", "Frame" and "Banana" established his mix of crushing riffs, bright hooks and heartfelt lyrics, followed by releases including "Taco", "Solid Chub", "Wet Milk" and "Rich Sips".
In the 2020s Bilmuri expanded his palette with records such as "Eggy Pocket", the collaborative project "Muri and Friends", "Goblin Hours" and the genre-bending "American Motor Sports", then moved to a major-label partnership. Recent singles including "MORE THAN HATE", "HARD2TELL" and "ALWAYS LET YOU DOWN" and the album "KINDA HARD" have pushed Bilmuri further into the rock mainstream while retaining an intensely devoted fanbase.
