BEAT is an American progressive-rock supergroup and touring project formed in 2024. The group brings together former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin with guitarist Steve Vai and drummer Danny Carey; Terry Bozzio joined on drums for the 2026 North American tour while Carey was unavailable.
BEAT was created to reinterpret material from King Crimson’s 1980s albums "Discipline", "Beat" and "Three of a Perfect Pair", combining progressive rock with new-wave elements. Its first North American tour began in 2024, followed by dates in Mexico, South America, Japan and Europe. The group’s principal release is the live album "Neon Heat Disease - Live in Los Angeles", documenting its performance of King Crimson repertoire, including "Neurotica", "Heartbeat", "Frame By Frame", "Elephant Talk" and "Thela Hun Ginjeet".
