The Bangladesh national women’s cricket team was only established in 2007. But despite their relatively short history, the Tigresses have performed honourably on the international stage. After securing 2 victories in their 2 debut matches against Thailand in July 2007, Bangladesh went on to win their debut competition – the 2007 ACC Women’s Tournament. The Tigresses team obtained One Day International status in 2011, and in 2014 qualified for their first elite international tournament – the Women’s T20 World Cup.
