📜 Bangladesh Cricket Team History
Cricket’s popularity quickly grew in Bangladesh after the country’s national team became an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1977. In the year 2000, Bangladesh became the 10th team to obtain Test status by becoming a Full Member of the ICC.
Although Bangladesh hold the record for most consecutive defeats in Test matches - 21 games between 2000 and 2002 - the team has had relative success in international events. The Tigers have appeared in numerous World Cups, as well as making the Asia Cup Final on 3 occasions.
