This summer is set to be a sensational season for cricket with excitement growing for the start of The Hundred tournament in July. Taking place across 8 major city venues in England and Wales, the event – lasting 100 balls per inning – will begin on 21 July and run for one month until 21 August.
The tournament will consist of 32 fixtures and 8 teams, with each team having both a men’s and women’s squad. The men and women will play in separate matches, usually taking place as a double-header on the same day.
It will be the first time in history that a major UK team sports event has launched men’s and women’s competitions alongside one another. The Hundred will also represent a significant milestone in women's sport, with a women's fixture headlining the opening day. The Oval Invincibles and Manchester Originals women's teams will be the first to battle it out, followed by the same sides in the men's match a day later.
There will be no shortage of world-class players, including the formidable force known as Jonny Bairstow, a world-cup winning batter who was the first English batsman to score 3 consecutive ODI (One-Day International) 100s. Bairstow, alongside other talented cricketers, will be sure to add even more intensity to the matches.
Tickets for this highly anticipated tournament go on general sale to Wednesday 21 April. The Hundred offers flexible pricing to suit all budgets, with ticket prices starting from as little as £10 for adults, £5 for under-16s, and are free for under-5s. All tickets are for 2 games being played on the same day (back-to-back women's and men's matches), except for the 2 standalone games that kick off the competition. All tickets come with a full refund guarantee so customers can feel reassured that they will receive all their money back if government guidelines change or a match is cancelled.
In addition to general tickets, The Hundred Club at Edgbaston Cricket Ground offers fans the unmissable opportunity to upgrade to a matchday hospitality experience for the whole family. From exquisite fine dining to private balcony boxes to all-inclusive features, this package is perfect for customers who want a touch of luxury. This hospitality experience is available at the following 2 matches at Edgbaston:
- Friday 23 July – Birmingham Phoenix vs London Spirit

Fans can also expect exciting matches at other venues such as the Kia Oval, Emerald Headingley Stadium, Emirates Old Trafford Stadium, Sophia Gardens, The Ageas Bowl, Trent Bridge Cricket Ground, and Lord's.
