A cricket tournament like no other, The Hundred is back for its fourth edition this year, with sell-out stadiums across the country welcoming the big-hitting action. England favourites like Ben Stokes and Harry Brook will take to the field in the men’s half of the tournament, while legendary Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry headlines the host of stars slated to play in the women’s competition.
In 2023, Southern Brave Women emerged as champions of The Hundred alongside Oval Invincibles Men – both sides claiming their first Hundred titles. In terms of outstanding individual performances, Manchester Originals’ Jos Buttler and Southern Brave’s Dannii Wyatt were named the tournament’s top run scorers, racking up 391 and 295 runs respectively. 2024’s competition is all set-up to create similar excitement, with more towering sixes, tumbling wickets, and magnificent catches expected at every game from now until the Final on 18 August.
While a visit to The Hundred is always time well-spent – and £5 Junior tickets make games an ideal family day out – some of the top clashes to look forward to include:
- Trent Rockets vs Birmingham Phoenix · 31 July · Trent Bridge
- London Derby: London Spirit vs Oval Invincibles · 4 August · Lord’s
- Battle for the North: Manchester Originals vs Northern Superchargers · 11 August · Old Trafford
- Southern Brave vs Welsh Fire · 14 August · Utilita Bowl
- Eliminator · 17 August · Kia Oval
