For the first time ever, the British Swimming Championships will combine Olympic and Paralympic events, with athletes competing to represent Team GB on the international stage in 2024.
The country’s finest swimmers will gather at London Aquatics Centre from 2-7 April 2024 for 6 days of heats and finals sessions. The best performers may earn a place on the British teams for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, so the stakes in London will be sky high.
Olympic and Paralympic qualifiers are usually held separately, but the new look British Championships will run both concurrently across the 6 days of competition. The Paralympic events will feature multi-classification races, in which swimmers from across different disability classifications compete in the same race. The winner of the race is the athlete whose time is closest to the world record for their classification, so may not be the swimmer who finishes first.
Tickets for the British Swimming Championships are now on sale, so fans can secure their spots at the Aquatics Centre for April. Each day of the event is divided into a morning (10:00) heats session and an evening (17:00) finals session. Tickets are available for each individual session, with heats sessions priced at GBP £10.60 for a standard adult ticket. Finals sessions have 2 price categories – Silver and Gold – where Gold offers a slightly better view of the racing. Standard adult finals tickets cost £15.90 for a Silver seat and £21.20 for Gold.
Don’t miss this amazing week of swimming!
