With the huge success of Rugby League World Cup 2021 still reverberating around the rugby world, excited rugby league fans in both hemispheres will be wondering where they can get their next on-field fix. In Australia and in England and France, the domestic seasons are still a couple of months away, with both the National Rugby League (NRL) and Super League set to get underway in March. The winter break doesn’t mean there’s nothing to get excited for yet, however, as tickets are already available for the NRL’s Magic Round, and the Super League Magic Weekend!
First held in 2007, the Super League Magic Weekend was the first big event of its kind in domestic rugby league, pitting all of the league’s teams against each other at one venue, across one bumper weekend. Previous host venues include the Principality Stadium, Murrayfield, and the Etihad Stadium. The NRL’s Magic Round then followed suit in 2019, when all of that year’s round 9 matches were hosted at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium.
Both events offer-up an annual festival of rugby league for hardcore fans and more casual supporters alike, and with players always exhibiting their best tricks, flicks, and escapology acts, the weekends really live-up to their "magic" titles. But which teams will be pulling the rabbit out of the hat, and which will be feeling like they've been sawn in half? Seeing the action in the stadium is one way to find out! The 2023 Magic Round will once again be held in Brisbane, between 5-7 May, whilst the 2023 Super League Magic Weekend will be staged at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, between 3-4 June.

NRL Magic Round tickets can be purchased either as individual day tickets, or as weekend-long 3-day tickets. Adult day tickets start from AUD $48.05 (USD $32.13) in the Bronze seating category, and adult 3-day tickets from AUD $107.05 (USD $71.58), also in Bronze seating. There are also plenty of discounts available for rugby league fans of all ages, ranging from child discounts to senior concessions.
Tickets for the Super League Magic Weekend are also available as day tickets or weekend-long tickets. Adult day tickets start from GBP £16 in the Category 3 seats, and adult weekend tickets start from £24, also in Category 3 seating. Discounted tickets are also available at the Magic Weekend, with offers including those for children and seniors.
