After hosting both men’s and women’s international matches behind closed doors this summer, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced plans for 2021’s summer matches with spectators back in attendance.
The plan includes a series of international men’s matches against Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and India. The England women will be facing both South Africa and New Zealand in their schedule. The ECB also added that it is in discussions to add additional matches.
To protect against uncertainty around the Covid-19 pandemic, all ticket purchases include a Ticket Refund Promise that fans will get a full refund if their tickets are cancelled because of regulatory restrictions or if they are unable to attend because the date or venue changes.
Tom Harrison, ECB chief executive, said “Next year we’ve got another big international programme to look forward to, with the thrill of a five-Test series against India as the centrepiece, compelling white ball series for our men and women, and an Ashes series for our visually impaired team.
“It’s an exciting prospect for England fans, and while COVID means there’s still a great deal of uncertainty, we really hope to be able to welcome fans back into the grounds safely next year to bring that unique atmosphere to stadia across the country.”
