The Chatsworth International Horse Trials will return, as always, to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire from 17-19 May 2024. This popular event allows fans to see some of the world’s top riders, such as Oliver Townend, Ian Stark, and Zara Tindall compete against the gorgeous backdrop of Chatsworth House, a stately home more than 3 centuries old surrounded by permanent grassland.
Chatsworth first began hosting horse trials back in the 1950s, and it started hosting an international 3-day event during the 1980s. The 3-day event returned after a period of absence in 1999, and it has been delighting fans annually ever since.
The event covers disciplines including dressage, cross-country, and showjumping, so there’s plenty of world-class equestrian thrills to be found over the course of this long weekend. The Chatsworth grounds are also filled with fun family activities, including a have-a-go dog agility course, a dog show, face painting, and much more. What’s more, guests can treat themselves during a fine food walk or at the extensive shopping village on site, which features more than 100 high-quality trade stands, so there’s something for everyone whether you’re an equestrian enthusiast or a first-time attendee.
Single-day adult tickets start from GBP £13 for general admission, while a 3-day pass will cost £53 – a saving of £12 compared with purchasing each ticket individually. Membership, which includes both general admission and access to an exclusive Members’ enclosure, starts at £30 or costs £110 for a 3-day pass.
