The closest train station to this venue is Osceola, which is accessible via Amtrak's California Zephyr service. However, this station is 72 km from Wakonda Club, so further transport would be required.
Readily accessible bike parking presented by the City of Des Moines is conveniently located at the corner of Park Avenue and SW 14th Street. Lock up your bike and take the short walk to the Park Avenue gate entrance.
Recommended route: Take bike path to Confluence Brewing, follow the sidewalk west along Thomas Beck Road, turn south on Druid Hill, pedal up and go south SW 18th St to Park Avenue. Head east on Park Avenue, bike parking is located on your right at the top of the rise.
Wakonda Club is approximately 6.0 km (72 min) walk from downtown Des Moines. If you're staying south of the city centre, such as in Greater South Side, then arrival on foot may be practical.

Food and beverages is available for purchase from concessions stands located around the course. Fans are permitted to bring 1 empty, clear water bottle (no more than 32 oz.) to refill at water stations on the 1st tee, behind the 5th green at the halfway house (by the main entrance), and between the 9th tee and clubhouse (by the entrance to the pool).
Admissions is located off Watrous Avene on the south side of the course, near the corner of Watrous Avenue and Southwest 14th Street, by the 8th tee. There will be no public tournament entry from Park Avenue.
Toilets are located at several points around the course.
Accessible viewing decks are available on the 14th, 17th and 18th green. Guests utilizing wheelchairs or scooters may follow cart paths to access viewing areas.
Accessible shuttle cart services are also available for those needing assistance. Carts make periodic loops from the main entrance to the 18th green and 16th green. If you need assistance, please contact a volunteer, staff, or make your way to an area marked with ADA shuttle signage.
