The Tour of Britain is a multi-stage road cycling race in which riders compete across British roads to complete the race in the fastest time.
Although the event dates back to the first British stage races held just after World War II, the current version of the Tour of Britain began in 2004 and is part of the UCI Europe Tour and is now part of the new UCI ProSeries. Up until 2023 the event spanned 8 days, and from 2024 this has been reduced to 6 days. The tour stretches the length of the country to enable spectators from across Britain to watch the action. As with all stage cycling, the race is a true test of endurance and stamina.
