Please note that, on match days, parts of Willoughby Street, Abbotsford Street, Tristram Street, Mill Street, and Seddon Road may be closed, to allow for the safe movement of match day pedestrians.
There is a small amount parking at the stadium car park - accessed via Richmond Street - which is available on match days, usually on a first-come first-served basis. However, as these spaces fill-up very quickly, and the nearby roads can be very congested, the following nearby paid car parks may be better options:
Match day parking for disabled spectators is located on Willoughby Street, less than 300 m (4 min) from the venue.
It is recommended that those travelling by taxi do not try to get dropped-off or picked-up too close to the stadium on match days, due to the usually busy roads. Willoughby Street, for example, is a popular drop-off point, but please note that it can be busy on event days.

On the flipside of the coin, the city doesn’t offer many luxury hotels either as it’s not a very touristy city.
Hamilton Airport (HLZ) is a domestic airport with regular flights to and from New Zealand’s major international airports in Auckland, Christchurch, and…
Visit the hobbits in Hobbiton – drive an hour east to Hobbiton Village, the official film set for Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, and wander around the quintessential miniature round-doored homes, stopping for a drink at the Green Dragon Inn along the way

Shuttle buses
There is also a free BUSIT shuttle bus service for FMG Stadium Waikato ticket holders, before and after matches. Pre-match, the bus departs from Hood Street (outside the Knox Street car park), stopping-off on Victoria Street, Ulster Street, and Abbotsford Street before dropping travellers off at the stadium (Tristram Street, near Mill Street). The buses run every 10 minutes, with the first departure starting 1 hour before kick-off. The bus then takes the reverse route post-match, with services starting at the final whistle.
Hamilton train station, the city's main rail hub, or located just a 1.9 km (23 min) walk from the stadium. Alternatively, those arriving in Hamilton by rail can either catch the number 19 bus from Queens Avenue to Boyes Park, which is a 400 m (5 min) walk to the stadium, or catch a taxi direct from the station, which can take as little as 5 minutes.
The stadium's location in the centre of Hamilton means it is brilliantly located for anyone looking to cycle from within the city or its suburbs. There are bike racks outside the Brian Perry Stand, which can be used for free by match day ticket holders.
It can take less than 25 minutes to walk to the stadium from the very centre of Hamilton. The stadium's location near the banks of the river means there are many pleasant routes, particularly if you travelling from the north or south of the city.
