For the initial group stage, the teams are placed into Group A or Group B in the preliminary round. The groups are as follows:
Each city will host 2 quarterfinals (this will be decided after the completion of the group stage), while the semifinals, the gold medal game, and the bronze medal game will be played in Stockholm.
