Sedgefield is conveniently situated 5 minutes from Junction 60 off the A1(M) and is clearly signposted from there. The racecourse lies just outside the village of Sedgefield and is only 20 minutes from Teesside, Darlington, and Durham city centre.
There is free parking available. Signage and Stewards will direct you to where you can park.
There is a designated, reserved area close to the admissions turnstiles for disabled parking, though it is recommended to arrive early (particularly on feature racedays) to secure your parking in this location. If you advise the car park stewards of your disability, they can direct you to the reserved parking. Please be aware that although the car park is on flat land, it can be uneven in places.
Taxis can be hired from travel between the stations at Darlington and Durham and Sedgefield Racecourse. It is recommended that you prebook a taxi for leaving at the end of the raceday.
The nearest bus stop to Sedgefield Racecourse is Racecourse Lane-Cricket Gd which is a 750 m (9 min) walk away and served by public bus routes UTCC and X22.
The racecourse welcomes coach groups. On arrival, coaches will be directed to the allocated coach parking.
The nearest mainline stations to Sedgefield are situated in Darlington and Durham, both are approximately 20 minutes away by car or taxi. Darlington Train Station (DAR) is only 11 miles from Sedgefield Racecourse.
Helicopter landing facilities are available at the course by prior permission.
The racecourse is a 2.2 km (26 min) walk from the centre of Sedgefield where there is a small selection of shops and eateries.
