Cycling - Time Trial 2026*

On the face of it, the time trial may seem like an aloof or abstract event, as riders cycle in isolation, against the clock - in reality, it is a thrilling spectacle that unfolds gradually, the tension becoming more heightened as more and more riders cut their own lines through a mutual route. 

The individual time trial has been a Commonwealth mainstay since 1998, proving far more popular than the team time trial event. As a road cycling event, the time trial uses everyday roads and paths, so you can practically feel the wind coming off these talented riders' bikes!

Time trial cycling will not be part of the line-up at the 2026 event in Glasgow.
