Whilst track and road cycling - and even mountain biking - are recognisable as Commonwealth Games sports, BMX racing will be a newcomer at the next Games. The sport's growing popularity across the world is no doubt one of the reasons it was chosen to be part of the line-up. It is a fantastic spectator sport where breakneck speeds, tight finishes, and even crashes can be expected!
BMX racing will not be part of the line-up at the 2026 event in Glasgow.
