The Petersen Events Center is located at 3719 Terrace Street in the heart of Oakland. Car is the most popular form of transport to access the venue, due to the ample parking spaces surrounding the center.

For all events, the University of Pittsburgh recommends that attendees park in the OC, OH, PG, and SO parking lots located near the Petersen Events Center.
Event parking rates are usually $20 per vehicle but may vary for each event.
The BioScience Tower Garage (BST) garage is the closest accessible parking garage to the Petersen Events Center. The BST garage accessible entrance is diagonal to the front of the building on Terrace Street. A valid placard or license plate is required to park in the accessible spaces in this garage. All guests are encouraged to arrive early in an attempt to secure parking that best accommodates their needs.

The Petersen Events Center has a permanent food court in the main lobby of the building. These restaurants are available to students during the academic day, as well as on event nights. They are the Burrito Bowl, Pizza Hut Express, Salad Sensations, Burger King and SubConnection.
There are also numerous specialty stands and concessions throughout the facility. Food and beverage may not be brought into the facility without advance permission. The Petersen Events Center Food Court is open daily to all guests and offers a wide variety of choices including Chick Fila, Shake Smart, made-to-order burritos and sandwiches.
Patrons may not bring food and beverages into the building; however, there are concessions stands available throughout the facility.
Entrances
There are 38 restrooms located throughout the facility on all floors. All restrooms are accessible for physically disabled guests. Additionally, family restrooms are located on the concourse level behind section 117 and on the club level behind section 110.
Seating
The Petersen Events Center was designed with guests with disabilities in mind. There are a limited number of wheelchairs available for guests, which are offered only as staff-assisted transport from the entrance gates to the seat location.
Accessible seating is available on all levels at the Petersen Events Center as shown on the map. These specific locations are designed to accommodate persons using a wheelchair and may be used by disabled guests (and a limited number of companions) who require the specific features of accessible seating due to a disability. Guests with mobility concerns can sit in limited mobility seating rows that require minimal stair climbing. Additionally, the Petersen Events Center has a number of designated aisle seats with retractable or removable armrests.

Assistive Listening Options

Drop-Off Points
An accessible drop-off and pick-up for guests attending events at the Petersen Events Center should be made at either the front of the building on Terrace Street or at the intersection of Allequippa Street and Sutherland Drive on the backside of the building as shown on the map.
Elevators
Guests with disabilities may use elevators through the Petersen Events Center.
Sign Language/ ASL
Guests with hearing disabilities must make advance arrangements with ASM Global to provide sign language interpreters for an event. A Sign Language request must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the event.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at the Petersen Events Center. A "service animal" is any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of a guest with a disability.
Wheelchair/ Mobility Assistance
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for transporting guests who are disabled to their seating location. Guests can be transported from the gates to their seats. If a wheelchair is needed for the duration of the event, guests must supply their own wheelchair. Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance. Upon arrival, guests can arrange for a wheelchair at any entrance of the Petersen Events Center.

ATMs
ATM machines are located on the lawn level (PNC Bank) to the right of the food court, and on the concourse level (PNC Bank) behind section 104.

First Aid
First Aid is located behind Section 118/119 on the Main Concourse right next to Guest Services. Medical services are provided before, during and for a reasonable amount of time after each event.
Petersen Events Center has a capacity of approximately 12,508. However, the capacity does differ between events depending on the seating configuration.
