The Sentry Tournament of Champions is a professional men's golf tournament, part of the PGA Tour. It was founded in 1953 and is contested each year at Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course in Kapalua Hawaii.
This event not only opens the calendar year but it is also unique in that the Tournament of Champions’ field is reserved only for PGA Tour winners from the previous calendar year, making it a prestigious and exclusive event.
Hideki Matsuyama made history in the 2025 event when he carded a 35-under par 257, the lowest score in relation to par ever set over 72 holes on the PGA Tour. He finished 3 strokes ahead of Collin Morikawa, whose impressive 32-under earned him an admirable second place.
