The Southern National is an exciting jump (National Hunt) race meeting for thoroughbred horses and is held at Fontwell Park Racecourse near Chichester, West Sussex, United Kingdom.
The single-day meeting is one of the highlights in Fontwell Park's calendar and often attracts some of the country’s finest racing talent. The Southern National is one of the biggest racedays of the year and features the 3-mile, 3-furlong test of endurance as the ultimate ride for both horse and jockey!
Southern National Countryside Raceday Tickets
At Fontwell Park Racecourse there are 2 enclosures to choose from, along with a number of restaurant packages and private hospitality options which can be pre-booked. Enclosures have varying dress code restrictions, access levels, and ticket price brackets. Racegoers purchase a ticket for a full day of racing with access to one of the following:
- Premier Enclosure - includes entry to every part of the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure plus access to the ground floor of the Premier Grandstand. In here, you'll find a large indoor bar, the Premier Café as well as a seated viewing overlooking the Winning Post. There is also access to a beautiful rear terrace which is the perfect quiet spot to study the form
- Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure - grants access to 3 grandstands, as well as viewing access to the Parade Ring and Winning Circle, and your choice of a number of bars and food outlets
