The primary parking option for AAMI Park is the Eastern Plaza Carpark (Citylink Building, 102-110 Olympic Blvd, East Melbourne VIC 3002), which can be accessed via Entrance D on Olympic Boulevard. Parking in this lot can be pre-booked here. Parking can be purchased upon arrival, but this is subject to availability and typically costs more.
If you're seeking accessible parking, this must be pre-booked via Ticketek’s Accessible Bookings Hotline, which can be reached on (03) 9286 1208. There are also a limited number of accessible parking bays located at John Cain Arena on Olympic Boulevard. Guests with reduced mobility can also be dropped off directly in front of the venue in the designated drop-off areas at Entrance E (for Gates 5 or 7) and Entrance F (for Gates 4 or 2).
If you find that the above parking is sold out or otherwise unavailable, there are a number of private and public street car parks in the vicinity:
On event days, a taxi rank is available nearby, next to The Oval on Olympic Boulevard. There is also a designated pick-up and drop-off point for rideshare services in front of the John Cain Arena on Olympic Boulevard.
Guests with reduced mobility can also be dropped off directly in front of the venue in the designated drop-off areas at Entrance E (for Gates 5 or 7) and Entrance F (for Gates 4 or 2).
Melbourne Park can be reached on public bus route 246 (Latrobe Uni – Elsternwick Station). Get off at Swan Street stop, which is 350 m (4 min) walk to the venue.
Trains or trams are a popular way to reach AAMI Park because of its connections with multiple Metro and V/Line services:
You can also take tram route 70 to 7D-Olympic Boulevard stop, which is just 150 m (2 min) walk. Alternatively, routes 48 and 75 stop at Jolimont Station/MCG, which is 950 m (11 min) walk.
Melbourne Water Taxis operate 7 days a week along the Yarra River; they can deliver up to 12 passengers to a docking platform opposite Rod Laver Arena, and they must be pre-booked.
Melbourne River Cruises can accommodate parties of up to 150.
Bicycle parking is available outside Rod Laver Arena, John Cain Arena, and along Olympic Boulevard. Please note, cyclists must provide their own locks.
Melbourne Park is 2.6 km (31 min) walk from the CBD, with a pleasant second-half of the walk along the Yarra River.
