Para Biathlon 7-13 Mar 2026

Paralympic biathlon - shortened to para biathlon - is an adaptation of biathlon for athletes with a disability. 

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) oversees Paralympic biathlon, one of 2 Nordic skiing events at the Winter Paralympic Games. Standing events, sitting events (for athletes in wheelchairs), and events for athletes with visual impairments are all part of the sport. A rifle that shoots a laser beam and makes a sound to tell the athlete how accurate their aim is is used by athletes with visual impairments who ski with a guide.

For the 2026 Winter Paralympics, the para biathlon events will be held at Lago di Tesero Cross-Country Stadium in northern Italy.
