The Arena is easily accessed from central Liverpool; its dockside location means there are many surrounding landmarks, and so local transport options are plentiful. The venue can be reached by various modes of transport, both from within the city and outside of the local area. If travelling by car, follow the brown tourist "Waterfront" signs found throughout the city.
There are not currently a great deal of parking spaces suitable for visitors to the M&S Bank Arena. A limited number of paid parking spaces can be found beside the Queen's Wharf.
Due to its limited parking options, travelling to the arena by taxi is a good idea. The principal drop-off and pick-up spot is the Kings Parade taxi rank, which is to the west of the arena, beside the river.
There is a major bus station at Liverpool ONE, which is only a 400 m (5 min) walk from the venue. This stop serves major bus routes in and out of the city, as well as more local services.
Some routes may call in at Queen Square bus station, which is a 1.2 km (14 min) walk from the arena.
The CityLink C4 bus route is a great option: it is a frequent service - every 20 to 30 minutes, 7 days a week - and it stops at Queen Square, Liverpool ONE, and the arena itself.
Liverpool Lime Street is the closest train station to the venue, and serves both long-distance and local train lines. The M&S Bank Arena is thus easily reachable for those who wish to visit from across the UK, as well as from within Liverpool itself.
If you don't mind the walk, the station is only 1.6 km (19 min) away on foot. Alternatively, it is a short distance by car, for those who prefer a taxi. Should you wish to get closer to the arena by train, the Wirral Line underground train runs to James Street station, which is only a 800 m (10 min) walk from the venue.
Cycling is a great way to get the the arena. As well as enjoying a pedestrianised locale, the arena is not far from major roads, so travelling by bike is a convenient transport option for both experienced and recreational cyclists.
Liverpool's dockside areas are highly pedestrianised, and there is plenty to see and do along the river. Walking to and from the arena is fantastic option, and it will help you make the most of your time at the arena! As well as being a scenic and enjoyable option, walking is also practical, due to the venue's central and well-connected location.
