The Magical Kenya Ladies Open is a professional women’s golf tournament – the only one that exists in East Africa. It is an event on the Ladies European Tour, pitting some of the LET’s stars against Africa’s best and brightest, and made its debut in 2019.
The inaugural event was won by Germany’s Esther Henseleit on her way to being named Rookie of the Year and winning the Order of Merit that season. The event returned to the calendar in 2022 after a 2-year hiatus due to the pandemic, with Henseleit again coming out on top.
Shannon Tan is the defending champion; in 2024 she made history as the first Singaporean to win on the LET as she secured a 4-stroke victory on what was her LET debut.
