Bangor-on-Dee is 25 minutes from Chester and is well-signposted from the main A483 southbound. From the South and Midlands, take the M6 and M54 (J3) then the A41 to Whitchurch, and finally the A525 towards Wrexham. If you are using a SatNav, the postcode LL13 0DA should be used.
Car parking is free at Bangor-on-Dee Racecourse. Racegoers can erect gazebos out in the Course Enclosure. They are chargeable at £10 per gazebo.
Limited hard-standing parking is available in the car park, facilitating easy access to the turnstiles. There are designated accessible car parking areas in all car parks.
A bus connects the racecourse to Wrexham and Wrexham General Station.
Wrexham General Station is the closest railway station to the racecourse and a free bus service operates from the racecourse on scheduled racedays. The bus leaves the station 90 minutes before the first race. Be sure to check race times before planning your travel by bus from the station. Priority will be given to rail users, so please keep your ticket.
For helicopter landings, you must contact the racecourse on 01978 782 081 to plan arrival/departure times and be guided to the landing area.
The racecourse is a 1.8 km (22 min) walk from Bangor-on-Dee. It is advised that racegoers use public transport or drive to and from the racecourse.
