The tournament is contested in the standard stroke play format with 72 holes played over 4 days. The winner is the player with the lowest total number of strokes across all rounds.
It has a total prize purse of $10 million, of which the winner receives more than $3 million. A $1 million bonus is also awarded to the winner of the Race to Dubai.
Food and beverages can be purchased in the Championship Village, which you'll enter as soon as you pass through the welcome tent. Free water stations can also be found here, by the 17th hole, and by the 5th green/9th tee.
Refreshments are also available for purchase by the 16th green, and there are also public bars located around the venue as well as designated picnic areas.
There are 2 main entrances, located off Al Fay Road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. There is also a Clubhouse entrance from inside Jumeirah Golf Estates.
Toilet facilities are located by the 1st green and the 18th tee, as well as in the Championship Village.
Disabled toilet facilities are located in the Championship Village.
