Brigadier Gerard Evening is a fantastic single-evening flat racing meeting for thoroughbred horses held annually on the last Thursday in May at Sandown Park Racecourse in Surrey, UK.
Enjoy an atmospheric evening of entertaining racing and off-track fun in late spring. The meeting plays host to several important races including the Henry II Stakes and the Brigadier Gerard Stakes. The latter takes its name from a champion racehorse whose victories included the Westbury Stakes (now known as the Gordon Richards Stakes) and the Eclipse Stakes; both of which are held at Sandown Park.
