Anett Kontaveit is an Estonian tennis player, and one of her home country's most famous athletes. Kontaveit was a prolific junior player, progressing through many girls singles draws at both smaller tournaments and Grand Slams with her trademark aggressive, flat shots.
Increasingly, Kontaveit has begun contending for professional titles - she has a handful of WTA singles trophies to her name, and in 2020 reached the Australian Open quarterfinals. In 2021, Kontaveit became the first - and to date only - Estonian to reach the year-ending WTA Finals.
