The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium, previously known as the Aviation Club, is a tennis venue in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is widely considered to be one of the foremost tennis venues in the country, and is the host venue for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, a WTA 1000/500 and ATP 500 event.

📜 History

The stadium was officially opened in February 1996. It has a capacity of 5,000 seats, and is surrounded by 9 outer show courts. The venue began hosting the annual Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships in 1996; the tournament had been hosted on the same site since 1993, when the venue was still known as the Aviation Club.

As well as hosting the UAE's most high-profile tennis tournament, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium has also hosted several notable music acts from around the world, including Boyzone, Bryan Adams, Gloria Gaynor, Shaggy, and Sting.
